Featured Team Need: Kenya
Children in Kenya need help! A VISA team of four to five people is requested for either December of 2010 or April of 2011. An International Child Care Ministries school in the Kibera slum area of Nairobi needs help to erect a new fence around their school property. The fence and school walls are made of iron sheeting, most of which is old and jagged, presenting a danger to the children. The Kibera ICCM school has been in operation for over 10 years, and serves around 250 children who otherwise would have very limited opportunities.
The team is asked to cover the cost of the project, which would be $ 2,500. Other costs for each team member include airfare, meals, lodging, a visa and in-country travel. The team would work with missionaries Mike and Vickie Reynen, who have some great ideas for fun excursions after the project is completed.
Would your church or small group be interested in investing in the lives of the ICCM children of Kibera? Contact Connie Kratzer (connie.kratzer@fmcna.org) to learn more.
